The Hotel Continental first opened its doors 1900 to serve the glamorous guests of Hanko town and its popular spa. The Continental was placed where the city ended and the sea started. The spa culture slowly disappeared from Hanko and after a number of transformations plus a good hundred years of history. The hotel was restored and reopened in 2013 as a cosy boutique hotel - Hotel Regatta.
